Scott Klooster has followed a call to join with LMW in "serving the servants of God." He has seen the effect that Outline Bible Resources has by teaching in workshops in Bolivia, Guatemala, West Africa, India and several Middle East countries..
Introducing the Kloosters
Our family lives in Hudsonville Michigan, and we are members in long standing of Georgetown Bible Church. My wife Rebecca and I share the house with three lively children who make every day an adventure. Garret, who is thirteen, loves to fish and ride his bike. Eleven year old Naomi enjoys playing with her girl friends, singing and drawing. Samantha Rose, (Sami), is the now five years old and she came home to us in 2007 from an orphanage in Jinan, China.
Both Rebecca and I have been actively involved in mission work for many years. Rebecca grew up working with Drive in Ministries, a Michigan based worldwide outreach film ministry that goes into the far corners of the globe to present the Gospel, and I've had the priviledge to do extensive work with LMW using OBR material in countries all accross the globe. In 2004 we took our children to Boca Del Monte, a small village at the foot of a volcano in Guatemala. While there, Rebecca worked in a medical clinic while I conducted four days of training sessions for pastors and lay workers using the OBR materials. Garret and Naomi also helped out by playing with the children who were waiting to see the doctors and dentists at the clinic. The kids were instrumental in easing tensions and distributing Bibles.
In June of 2007 I accepted God's call to become the first supported Missionary for LMW. My domestic duties will include advancing the ministry by enlisting the aid of volunteers and gathering the resources needed for the international programs, and my international duties will be to focus on the development of a reproducible training model amongst many language groups accross the world in an effort to make the Word of God more clearly understood in their nations.
What a marvelous priviledge to follow the mandate of 2 Timothy 2:1,2: "You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things which you have heard me say in the presence of many wittnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."
