Kapchemoiywo

In two separate four-day workshops this year, 144 pastors and church leaders met in Kapchemoiywo to be trained and equipped using Outline Bible Resources. 

The local host pastor’s committee charged a small registration fee of about $5 USD. This money was used to help cover the cost of meals and tea for each participant. But one pastor, Jotham, could not afford the fee. A friend in the US heard of this and sent him the money for the registration fee and the bus ride. He felt the training was so valuable that he traveled for 14 hours on a bus to get there. He was excited all week about what he was learning.

 When he and the other pastors graduated as Master Teachers in Outline Bible Resources, he was given his certificate and also four Outline Bible Resource volumes. Needless to say, everyone was extremely happy on graduation day!

The following is an excerpt from a letter received from Thomas Kirwa. You can sense, through his writing, the appreciation of the people in Kapchemoiywo village.
  
 "I take this humble opportunity that the Lord has given the, on behalf of the entire church, the planning  committee (who planned your coming) and the trainees both pastors and the church leaders, to sincerely express our warmest thanks giving to you, for your time and dedication. You are really a man of God whom you proclaim Christ crucified and you demonstrated a desire that men and women should out-line the Bible correctly.
  
"Let me talk about the impact of your ministry upon our lives. It has been two and half months since you left. Personally I have been having reports from both the church leaders and pastors of what is going on in the field. They testify that God has used the material to change their devotion lives. From this change, the materials has been a blessing in their life of ministry. They use the materials to teach and preach from most testified that they have taught prayer in the church and now the members are learning to pray according to scripture. I am receiving encouragement every day. The question they keep asking me is when are you coming back? We as the entire A.I.C church in Kapchemoiywo appreciate very much what God allowed you to come and do in our area. I want to encourage you by saying that there was through you awakening of Bible knowledge in the lives of trainees and that they are taking the 10/30 challenge seriously.
