New Work in Liberia

Church Leaders Are Excited about Outline Bible Resources

Our training team facilitated two workshops in Liberia for top church leaders and workers - one in Monrovia and one in Tubmanburg. We all felt God’s presence as Timothy Olonade, my friend and ministry partner from Nigeria, made the altar calls for commitment and rededication among the leaders who attended. More than 50 indicated their acceptance of the challenge to become a Facilitator In Training (FiT) and receive training in how to teach and conduct their own Outline Bible workshops.

Our goal is to train key church leaders in using Outline Bible Resources and to help them gain insight for personal ministry but also teach them how to help others improve their lives and ministries. We used The Minister’s Personal Handbook and the Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible for workshop training.

We had 110 attendees in the first workshop and more than 80 in the second. In each location we saw their hunger for the reality of God’s Word. Liberia is in dire need of sound Bible teaching to stem the wave of contaminated and manipulative teaching of God’s Word. The participants clung to every word.

We, at LMW, get excited when we get responses from the workshops like these received this week and we know you will share our excitement:

"I am very happy to inform you that I completed my 10/30 Challenge [to train 10 people in the next 30 days with what was learned in the workshop] on April 13-14." John Bleah, Monrovia

"I have started a training with 30 pastors in Brewerville, outside Monrovia." writes Beyan Bakai, Monrovia

"Personally, I am receiving tremendous help from the Minister’s Personal Handbook and the Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible. I am using the POSB for most of my messages in the pulpit. As for the handbook, it is helping me to keep a life of integrity." Harry Gowor, Monrovia
